Koryaksky is a tall conical stratovolcano located NW of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. The volcano is considered one of the most beautiful in Kamchatka. It can be climbed in 4-8 day trips from Petropavlovsk. Crampons and ice axe are needed for this snow climb, as well as experience in mountaineering. The eggs in the photo galleries ranging in diameter from 0.7 to 2 mm. The pictures were taken with a scanning electron microscope, which uses beams of electrons to keep track of object surfaces. Then a black and white photos were altered in color to reflect the natural appearance of the eggs.
